Is the shared IP the same as my website's IP?

On shared hosting, yes, that is the address your domain resolves to once it is pointed at us. Other sites on the same server share it.

Why does a lookup tool show a different IP than cPanel?

Usually because your domain goes through a proxy or CDN, which answers with its own address instead. Turn the proxy off while you test if you need to see the origin.

What is my database host?

For a site on the same hosting account it is localhost . Use that in wp-config.php and similar files rather than an IP.

I cannot log in to cPanel at all. How do I get the details?

Sign in to your client area, where the hosting service page lists them, or reset the cPanel password first with how do I reset my cPanel password .
